So I started reading Slipping into Darkness and I am at the interrogation part where Francis is being sneaky about trying to get a confession from Julian. His tactics are a bit blindsided if you ask me. I never really knew that police officers and detectives were always so sneaky with trying to make a person who may or may not have commited the crime confess. I just seems all to surreal to me, I to have had to sit in an interrogation room a couple times due to someone stealing from my place of employment, so they were questioning everyone. Which typically isn’t out of the norm, however, since I had a previous charge one of the first things the detective said to me was “Just tell me you did this”. I was completely mystified as to what even happened at the video store much worse admit to something I had no idea about! So as I’m reading about Francis talking with Julian I can’t help but think “If you know it’s wrong to interrogate a suspect that is underage and doesn’t have a lawyer present, how can anything they get on Julian be useful? Doesn’t it just get thrown out in the court of law? Well at least that’s what I was thinking until I read the part about Julian signing his Miranda rights card and about threw this book at the wall… just saying. However , I feel that Julian didn’t do anything wrong and was only liked Allison it wasn’t anything psycho as far as I can tell but we shall see!
