Slipping into the Darkness
I have decided to read Slipping Into Darkness, for some reason ever since I read the Innocent Man by John Gresham I have really enjoyed reading mystery/murder stories. The book I'm reading is about a guy who was set up for murder from a previous case and no there is some young doctor who was murdered in her apartment and they somehow think it's connected to the same guy that is up for murder. I can't wait to see how this book ends. I enjoy reading about mysteries and seeing how the main characters react to the situations they are placed in. Steven King even wrote a review for the book and said "one of the best books I've read in a long, long time" which in my opinion says a lot. Steven King is a tremendous writer and has some original writing. I haven't read anything by Peter Blauner yet but I can honestly say I think it's going to be a good read. Once they submit a DNA sample they find out that it doesn’t belong to Julian Vega and end up having to dig up the twenty year old remains of the victim to try and get a DNA sample from under the finger nails of the deceased. Once they test the sample it comes back that it definitely doesn’t belong to Julian so all that work the detective did was completely pointless and put an innocent man in jail for almost twenty years. I fully plan on going home and curling up in my blanket and read this book!

I just finished a murder mystery called "The Reversal" by Michael Connelly. It was about a man that had been convicted of murder and spent 24 years in prison when DNA revealed that there could have been an error in the way the crime had been interpreted. He ends up going back to trial. It kept me reading, especially the courtroom drama!
